Computer Recycling
We recycle donated notebook, tower and desktop computers and then give them to local (15 miles radius of Burntwood) deserving good causes as working units with free of charge open source software installed.
If you have unwanted working computers taking up valuable office space then why not save the disposal costs and provide a valuable service to the community by donating them for re-use.
Since July 1st 2007 you have a legal obligation to properly dispose of old IT equipment in line with Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment regulations (download PDF). The legislation aims to increase recovery, recycling and reuse of WEEE to reduce the amount going to landfill.
Please note that we are NOT a disposal service for scrap. If you have working computers that you no longer require then why not let someone less fortunate gain use from them as well as benefiting the environment.
If you have suitable computers that we can recycle then on acceptance we will:
- Arrange a date and time for FREE collection (15 miles radius of Burntwood)
- Accept full liability (signing your documentation if requested)
*
- Wipe/erase all data from hard drives (certificates may be chargeable)
- Refurbish, install Ubuntu Linux software and supply FREE to new user
If you have any donations or need a computer as did Norton Canes Community Partnership then please contact us or complete the recycling form.
* On request contact details will be included on the donations offered listing |
